IT Business Analyst

We are currently seeking to hire business analysts who will join our Management Consulting practice.

We are looking for an individual contributor to support in leading and participating in analysis and gathering of business requirements related to our clients business & IT operations, Risk, Data and compliance projects.

About the Role

Partner with business owners to define and gather business and functional customer support requirements via workshops, questionnaires, workflows etc. Analyse and validate specific business needs to support customers and applicable stakeholders.

 

Translate conceptual business requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/technical teams. The role demands that the individual be capable of working with and advising client on a wide range of IT and business related topics. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting integration of acquired businesses into my client’s business model from the IT operations and customer care perspective. You will be involved in operational initiatives by on boarding operational models, products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include working closely with business users to understand their needs, analysing problems and capturing requirements. You will develop a thorough understanding of the business and the technical domain.You will work closely with the operations and development teams to refine the requirements into specifications that can be executed by the team.

 

  • Partner with business owners to define and gather business and functional requirements

  • Perform as-is and to-be pricing analysis and comparisons on a range of IT services

  • Engage with internal teams to gather and review cross-functional team requirements and business processes

  • Analysis of existing third-party contracts – including analysis of the working of the contracts including services covered and contract termination clauses

  • Validate the baseline IT operations cost model and support preparation of the transformation project business case

  • Work with the IT Leadership to analyse cost saving opportunities based on different factors

  • Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes in the target operating model

  • Coordinate across a complex stakeholder group across multiple entities / geographies

  • IT service pricing and business case analysis

  • Third party contract analysis and coordination across vendor management and Legal

  • Process and capability review

Capabilities Required

  • Self-motivated, uses own initiative to proactively get work done

  • Excellent business analysis and business writing skills

  • Good understanding of commercial and business case concepts

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable liaising with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Good time management and ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and targets

  • Highly competent in a virtual and hybrid working environment

Experience / Technical Skills Required:

  • 3-5+ years business analysis experience

  • Excellent MS Office skills – particularly PowerPoint and Excel

  • Previous experience operating in a pan-European role

  • Previous experience working in a similar role in an IT function preferable

  • Ability to interpret and present information in a practical format and articulate to all levels

  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines

  • Insurance experience desirable
