IT Support Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Helpdesk and Field Engineer to join our support team based in Glasnevin, Dublin 9. You will provide remote and deskside support for end users using a variety of technologies working in the SMB market. You will be responsible for installing and configuring new hardware such as laptops and PC’s according to the clients spec. You will also troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues with the ability to escalate to Level 2 support where needed. This role will suit someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and who is passionate about technology and taking their career to the next level.
You will report to the Helpdesk Manager and the Technical Director.
3 + years working in a technical support environment
Virtualization knowledge such as VMware or Hyper-V
Deployment and management of Windows servers
Office 365 deployment and administration
Local and Off-site Backup systems
Client PC/Laptop troubleshooting, maintenance and hardware replacement
Good Communication Skills
Very Good Diagnostic and Problem-Solving Techniques
Broad knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (Windows server, Office365, Exchange)
Very Good Server Administration Skills
Active Directory and Group Policy Management knowledge is essential
Contract Type: Permanent Position
Education Requirements: Microsoft Certifications although not essential are desirable
